Finding the office at MSY

The airport's address is 1 Terminal Drive in Kenner, not New Orleans proper, so set your GPS accordingly. Inside, CBP says the office is on the lower level past baggage carousel 6. Signs point the way to the International Arrivals area and the Global Enrollment Center.

The airport is west of downtown off I-10, so leave room for traffic through Metairie if you are driving in at a busy time. Head for the lower level, where baggage claim is, rather than up to ticketing and security. If someone is dropping you off, the lower-level arrivals curb is the one closest to the office.

What to bring

CBP asks for original documents at your interview:

  • A valid, unexpired passport.
  • A valid driver's license or state ID.
  • An unexpired permanent resident card or U.S. visa, if applicable.
  • One document providing proof of residency.

Other Gulf Coast centers

If the New Orleans calendar does not fit, Gulfport-Biloxi International Airport is the closest alternative, east on I-10. Mobile Regional Airport, farther along I-10, has an enrollment center in its main terminal. Both are airport offices, and both are a manageable day trip for many people on the Northshore and the Mississippi Gulf Coast. Waits change daily, so compare the live figures below.

If you have an international trip coming up, CBP's Enrollment on Arrival lets conditionally approved applicants complete the interview during CBP processing when they land at a participating airport, with no appointment. Check CBP's current list of participating airports before you count on it.
