Finding the office and checking in
The airport sits north of downtown near the Loop 410 and US 281 interchange. Once there, go to the Terminal A arrivals level and look to the immediate right of baggage claim for door 1101. CBP asks you to wait in the waiting area in front of CBP GE / F-161.
There are no walk-ins, and only people with a scheduled appointment are processed. The waiting area is limited to those with Global Entry appointments, so anyone traveling with you may need to wait elsewhere.
CBP lists hours of operation as 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. and 3 p.m. to 7 p.m.
What to bring
Bring your current valid passport, your unexpired visa if one applies to you (CBP specifies no extensions), and your valid driver's license. If you cannot make your appointment, CBP asks you to reschedule online rather than not show up.
Other Texas centers to compare
Austin-Bergstrom is the closest alternative, with its office on the baggage level at the far east side entrance. Laredo and Del Rio enrollment centers sit at border ports of entry and also handle SENTRI. Houston Intercontinental is a longer drive east on I-10. Waits change daily, so compare the live figures below.
If you have an international trip coming up, CBP's Enrollment on Arrival lets conditionally approved applicants complete the interview during CBP processing when they land at a participating airport, with no appointment. Check CBP's current list of participating airports before you count on it.
