Finding the Otay Mesa center
Coming from I-805 or I-5, take SR 905 east. CBP says to exit at Siempre Viva Rd East, the last USA exit, follow Siempre Viva Rd, and turn right on Roll Drive at the US Gas station on the corner.
It is the last exit before the border crossing, so watch for it. The center does not take walk-ins: you need a scheduled appointment.
What to bring for SENTRI at Otay Mesa
CBP's Otay Mesa notes accept original documents only, no copies. The list:
Proof of residency is easy to overlook. Bring a mortgage statement, rental agreement or utility bill in your name, and make sure the vehicle you are enrolling matches its registration and insurance papers.

Getting an earlier interview
Otay Mesa is not the only option. SENTRI interviews are held at any enrollment center that offers the program, and Calexico and San Luis are the nearest others. They are listed below with their live waits. If one shows a much sooner date, the drive along I-8 may beat waiting for an Otay Mesa slot to open.
Hold on to the appointment you already have. If an earlier date shows up, use the reschedule option in your TTP account to move into it, rather than cancelling and hoping the new slot is still there.
